When purchasing or leasing a commercial building it is important to check whether the building already has planning consent for the planning use you require. As your business grows your property needs more often than not change. This may be a relocation or an additional property. Alternatively it may be possible to look at space planning the existing layout to make it more efficient or applying for planning permission for an extension to the building.
If you change the way you are using a building this may require a planning application as well as landlord’s approval. This may be something as simple as new signage as part of a re-branding, new extraction flues for new machinery etc.
